Malaque Cooks

#MalaqueCooks is a cooking segment by local celebrity Malaque Mahdaly. She shares various recipes that are easy to follow. It started off as sharing food recipes via Instagram Stories; and as the viewership and demand picked up, short videos were being uploaded to various platforms, Youtube, IGTV etc.

In April 2021, she launched her first ebook, 'From My Home and Heritage; to your kitchen'. The 20 recipe book was filled with high quality pictures and clear instructions on each dishes.

In order for the eBook to be purchased and accessed worldwide, we engaged in a developer to bring our website design ideas to life.

My tasks and role here was to set a brand outlook that would compliment Malaque's personality in her cooking. I edited and also facilitated the art direction for the ebook, ensure that the book is able to be accessed on multiple devices.

The Branding

#MalaqueCooks has a weekly segment that shares her recipes without a cost. In order for audiences to receive exclusive recipes complimenting the recipe shared for the week; a Telegram Channel was set up, named "#MalaqueCooks – The Syarifs Media"

Other than sharing extra recipes, the channel was used to interact with her audiences and grow her community.
